U.S. - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced this week that several U.S. laboratories reported an increase in Norovirus infections. A CDC spokesperson, said, "In the United States, cases of norovirus occur most frequently during late fall, winter, and early spring. There may be variation in the timing of cases between regions and between communities in the same region." Adding, "Norovirus is the leading cause of vomiting and diarrhea, and foodborne illness in the United States. People of all ages can get infected and sick with norovirus, which spreads very easily and quickly."
